A. Location Services
Our app provides a location-based game experience. To enable core features (centering the map, verifying check-ins, and discovery), we collect and process your precise location data.
- Foreground Location: Used while you are actively using the app.
- Background Location: We do not currently collect location data in the background unless explicitly requested for specific gameplay features in future updates.
B. Camera and Photos
Venture Quest requires access to your camera and photo library for the “Live Photo” check-in feature.
- Camera Access: Used to take photos of locations to verify your visit.
- Photo Storage: Uploaded photos are stored on Firebase Storage and may be displayed in the community feed.
C. Account Information
We collect basic information when you sign in via Google or Apple:
- Name, email address, and profile photo.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Verify your physical presence at quest locations (GPS).
- Display your check-in photos to other users in the community feed.
- Track your progress and XP levels.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Your profile name, level, and check-in photos are visible to other users within the Venture Quest community.
4. Your Choices
You can revoke location and camera permissions at any time through your device settings, though this will disable core gameplay features.
5. Child Safety Standards (CSAE Policy)
Venture Quest maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We are committed to providing a safe environment for all users.
A. Standards against CSAE
- Prohibited Content: Uploading, sharing, or promoting any content that depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation is strictly prohibited.
- Zero Tolerance: Any account found to be involved in the creation or distribution of such material will be permanently banned and reported to the relevant authorities (e.g., NCMEC).
- Monitoring & Reporting: We proactively monitor our community feed and provide tools for users to report safety concerns instantly.
B. Reporting Mechanism
- Users can report any post or comment by tapping the “Report” icon found on every community post.
- Our safety team reviews all reports with priority given to child safety concerns.
C. Compliance & Cooperation
Venture Quest complies with all relevant regional and national laws regarding child safety. We cooperate fully with law enforcement and authorities to investigate and prosecute CSAE-related offenses.
